Forest School programs for 0-13 year olds

These groups will get your child exploring, running, playing, and noticing the changes in the forest. We'll spend time observing and learning about each other and the land around us. There will be stories, games, and time for imaginative play in the woods and meadows of Huron Natural Area. These groups fill up quickly, so be sure to set your alarm for 8:30am on Thursday, August 21, 2025. Registration is on the City of Kitchener's  Active Net website. 

All of the programs listed are held at Huron Natural Area in Kitchener, ON in generous partnership with the City of Kitchener.

Get outside for some nature immersion! Spend 4 hours in the woods and near the water at Huron Natural Area. There will be games, exploration, imaginative play, and more. Bring your own lunch, water bottle, and snack and get ready for a day of fun!
